Success Stories
Our company is heavily involved in uplifting the standard of living of communities in which it operates. We believe that the community is an integral part of our success so, we donated drip irrigation equipment to Gwanda Provincial Hospital in March 2013. This is part of a consignment of products we offer on credit through our partner Pedstock Investments.
Zimbabwe Agricultural Professionals Technicians Association(ZAPTA) in Gwanda approached us with a request to purchase motorbikes for the employees through our credit schemes. Through this scheme, 21 staff members benefitted from bikes sourced through our supplier (Fiver Motors). This makes it easier to travel to inaccessible areas like Kezi, Gwanda rural and Insiza District where most of our beneficiaries are based.
Angula Shamu has been able to extend her farming activities from Microplan finance. In turn, her business has earned her enough income to fend for her five school going grandchildren. One is studying ‘O’ level whilst her son is at the University of Zimbabwe studying law. Angula has managed to expand her activities from bananas to piggery and chicken farming.
Maxwell Zimunya is a full time A2 farmer with a plot about 20km out of Mutare. After an advance of a loan from Microplan in November 2013, he ventured into beans and maize farming. Maxwell’s star continues to shine from an initial produce of 5 tonnes of maize and 3 tons of beans to a reported $3 000.00 as of November 2014 from bean sales alone.
