FBC Bank: Hallmark of Excellence in Zimbabwe’s Financial Services Sector

FBC Bank continues to enjoy glowing international and local recognition as a stable brand. It continues unabated in offering superlative and diverse financial services under one roof. This has seen it receiving numerous awards from the year 1997 to date. The recognition bears testimony to FBC Bank’s unmoved commitment towards offering relevant solutions to the distinctive financial service needs of the country’s banked, unbanked and under banked population. During the past 10 years, the FBC Group and its flagship strategic business unit (FBC Bank) scooped some major awards:

FBC Scoops Three Prestigious Quoted Companies Awards

FBC Holdings scooped the Banking Company of the Year Award in the Zimbabwe Quoted Companies Survey 2017. This award is given to the best performing listed company in the banking sector.

In 2013, FBC won the Banking Sector Award given to the Best Performing Listed Company in the Banking Sector. In 2007, the group scooped the Banking Sector Award. It also won the Overall award and trophy for being the Best Performing Company Listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange.

FBC Bank rated in the Top 5 Banks, 2016 Banks and Banking Survey Awards

The flagship unit of the FBC Group, FBC Bank, was rated as one of the top 5 Banks in the 2016 Banks and Banking Survey. The announcement was made at the Banks and Banking Survey Awards dinner held on 03 November 2016, at The Venue in Avondale, Harare.

FBC Bank and other participating local financial institutions were ranked according to efficiency, profitability, growth, credit quality, strength and market share.

We take pride in this stellar performance which has been recognised by the industry at large.

FBC Bank wins Five ICSAZ Awards in 2015 and 2016

We take pride in announcing that the FBC Group’s flagship unit, FBC Bank, won two Corporate Governance Awards at the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Zimbabwe (ICSAZ) Excellence in Corporate Governance Awards Dinner held in 2016. The awards are listed below:

  1. Best Banking Internal Audit Disclosure - 2nd Prize
  2. Best Banking Risk Management Practices - 2nd Prize

In 2015, the bank was also awarded with three prestigious Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Zimbabwe (ICSZ) Corporate Governance Awards listed below:

  1. Second Prize Best Banking Risk Management
  2. Third prize in the Category of Best Banking corporate Governance Practices
  3. Best Banking Internal Audit Disclosures

FBC Wins Four Exhibition Awards in 2017

FBC takes pride in winning four Agricultural exhibition awards in 2017. The awards are listed below:

  1. 2016 and 2017 Midlands Show Society Best Exhibitor Award in the Financial Services Sector Category.
  2. Mash West Agric Show Second Prize Best Exhibitor Award in the Financial Services Category
  3. 2017 Victoria Falls Agricultural Show First Prize Best Exhibitor Award in the Financial Services Category
  4. Masvingo Agricultural Show

The above awards bear testimony to the bank’s commitment towards achieving its vision: “To be a Trendsetter in Financial and Risk Management.”
